"You know, I sometimes wonder, how is anyone going to come up with a book,
a symphony or a sculpture that can compete with a great city". - Owen Wilson

I can never really grasp how seemingly similar cities can be so different to each other. They are all constructed of concrete, brick, wood, steel and glass, with offices, shops, markets, galleries and museums.
They all have lakes and parks and they often have 'a river running through them'.
Populated by people from around the globe, they feel as different to each other as they are similar.

"I had always planned to make a large painting of the early spring, when the first leaves
are at the bottom of the trees, and they seem to float in space in a wonderful way.
But the arrival of spring can't be done in one picture".

David Hockney
